Chapter 1: I'm risking my life reading this because I have heard some things via spoilers but...if I go in knowing it's going to be sad maybe I won't be shocked at least??
lmao I can't imagine any scenario I'd want to be the popular guy at school. The pressure, the constant being bothered, the pedestal placing....ick!
I was honestly kind of on the fence on this chapter until Nene turned into a fish, admitted what she really wanted was to not be alone and was saved by Hanako by a wish and him eating the other scale.
Also I'm curious who Minamoto liked, since he's the popular guy there's no way he couldn't get them.
Chapter 2: Wait, someone asked Nene out after all that?! But he's using her...

New character, a monk who wants to exorcise Hanako?

So the monk boy is named Minamoto Kou. His ancestor Minamoto no Yorimitsu took down one of the big 3 youkai, Shuten Douji.
Kou calling Hanaka 'vicious' lol I can tell he's grown up being taught in black-and-white, no grey or white areas for youkai.
Kou's grandma sealed Hanako. 🤔 Hanako killed someone and 'God' told him that if he fulfills his duty at the school it 'will erase his guilt'. I really liked seeing this side of Hanako.
Chapter 4 After Nene's friend Aoi tells her another scary story, she disappears and no one remembers her. She fell victim to her own story about a staircase's forth step. 😰
Oh, another new boy character and he put a shikigami on Nene?
So the 7 mysteries in the school are connected to the Netherworld. Living people are forgotten when they cross into it, though some are unaffected like Nene and Minamoto.
I'm really glad I started this manga, I love horror movies and always wondered if there was any manga that would hit the same feeling for me but couldn't find anything I wanted to try, but here comes Jibaku Shounen!
Chapter 5 Nene, you're too young to be worrying about how big your boobs are. =| In fact, stop worrying about it at all! Definitely could've done without the fanservice this chapter.
