Summary: Natsuki Matsuda, twenty-years-old, has proudly identified as gay since age fifteen. Then Komano, nineteen-years-old, comes into his life. My comments: First I (re)read the first two chapters of Ringo ni Hachimitsu. The order is a little strange but not too hard to untangle. I wonder how it would've been to read it in chronological order according to the contents?

Natsuki has been bullied since he was young, being called homo and girly. The guy he was sleeping with ends it because he wants to settle down. He has a lot of anxiety surrounding relationships especially because his current love interest is straight.

I really liked the portrayal of loneliness and anxiety for Natsuki. You can also tell Komano is doing his best trying to reassure Natsuki, he can only do so much but he keeps trying. I loved the intimacy between them.
