i read the manga of whisper me a love song and didn't know it had an anime adaptation (but with all the problems discussed in the video i'm not surprised i haven't heard of it until now). the illustrations in the manga were consistently the best parts about it for me so i was quite taken aback at how the anime ended up looking.

Wow that article on AO3 was actually quite thought provoking on the change of fandom over the last decade. Idk what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. Will think about it probably.
